Join me on a tour...a little staycation

Are ya comfy? Take a nice deep breath...
In through the nose...
Out through the mouth~
follow me...
To the warm and heady island of Barbados,
with beautiful views of the carribean sea
and the west coast...

Through the gates of a historic homestead built in

1710

Down the shell path to the sublime Fustic House.

re-designed in the 70's

by stage designer Oliver Messel

The house which sits on 11 acres is now a hidden and

exquisite resort with an amazing restaurant...

so I hear

...Gorgeous guest suites

I don't know about you, but I'll be staying here for oh..about 48 straight hours...

Then I'll grab my well worn book and glass of wine...and

watch dusk move in from here...

Head in for a delectable morsel or two...

Maybe even try a different suite for the next night...

Fustic House...only a dream away
C'mon....show us some of your dream spots.....
Help a gal out, eh??

Linda, my dream vacation getaway spot--well, one of them!--would be the Gaia Spa & Retreat in Australia.

Oh my word! Ya had me at HELLO here! I can't post fast enough as I want to go and have another visit and ogle a bit longer... And, and dream that that's where I'm going next. AMAZING PICS here! I just gotta run and have another look see...

P.S. - I would be all over sharing our pics when we stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village but due to our move to NY all my wonderful pictures are in storage. I sure wish I had those to share...

Ahhh. Looks like heaven to me! I can't think of anyplace I'd rather visit at the moment. I'm all about the relaxing, tropical vacations. I'm still hoping to go on one later this year for our anniversary. I told my husband our week in D.C. does NOT count as an anniversary trip. ;-)

Debbie...when you get to your pics, do share!!

Julia...No siree, DC is more a educational vacation.Hammocking on a tropical island...not so much educational!

Sandra, um, one leetle, teensy caveat with this place. The price. 3500 clams...a night!! gulp.

It's a deal, I'll do it but you may be waiting for a very long time.

We're building our new home and we're still in the planning stages. So, the foundation has not even been poured yet. So if you don't mind the wait, you got it.
