Keepin' it real this Christmas season...

So...the key lime brancholier was decked out
with a few mercury glass ornaments. shiny. pretty.
notice the overly due and nicely placed glass of vino
It is a table we all eat on every night...
We try to eat by candlelight each night...even pizza.
And if you choose to look really closely
You'll find a kids name carved in the table...and the gnaw marks
of a Great Dane puppy. Life.
The paperwhites have been working on growth for the past few weeks.
I left the largest one in the car (lovely) and the dog stepped on it.
It flourishes anyways. I need to remember that life lesson.
i know there is a lesson there.

We do have a big, beautiful smelling honking tree in the LR.

Bare. Undressed. Shame.

The weekend and then tonight were to busy...again.

...But it WILL get done.

I have faith.

Yep.

Your decorating is going to be so lovely, Linda. I hate how long it takes for paperwhites to bloom. I have some, too, but I'm sure they won't bloom in time for Christmas.

Do you have pocket sliders going out to the lanai? It looks so open and airy. The chandy looks great. I'm right there with you with being behind in my decorating.

The KL brancholier looks beautiful!

Once the paperwhite starts to bloom it blooms, blooms etc... They some how know when to start peaking their heads out just in time for Christmas. Ahhh... the fragrance.

Accidental dog stepping lesson learn, my guess is: "That no matter how many times in life big or small that gets us down we bounce back more stronger and beautiful or we put smaller things in the front seat and BIG dog in back. LOL....

Linda- I love how you try to have candlelight dinner. I have a friend that has and still does this everynight since her and her husband has been married (30 + yrs??).

I think it is great you kept the same table throughout the years. It is almost like a growth chart on the walls. Nice memories.
Nice post!
Your wreath debut is today on my blog.

I love it all, Linda. You are amazing!

Those little dings and dents and memories of puppy days are what make a great table! Anyway, that's how we feel about it. I've noticed some additions to the big ol' farmhouse table and it makes me love it more.

Candles and wine at our house too. Hey, you only go 'round once!

Thanks for leaving me a comment.

I may have stumbled on your blog before not really paying attention to who it belonged to. But I recognize this dining area and the cool shelves (instead of cabinets in the kitch).

You could/should give real life tours of your home and garden.
