We popped in to look at this home in Vero Beach.
It's empty and for sale.
That's good enough for me. Invitation to check it out.
gorgeous, private...and water galore.
While over the top, for me, it had some lovely details...Pecky cypress
ceilings in the outdoor balconies and outdoor kitchen.
Where I could happily live...cookin' my beans and wieners...just watchin' the sea...
This would be the hall to the master suite, which had his and her closets
the size of a small house
and
His and her bathrooms.
yes...insert rolling eyes here

It has it's own elevator, as it is over the garage...
No worries...The main house had an elevator also behind the curly doors...
Practically a requirement for two or three story
homes in our area.
Think hip and knee replacement, folks. Yeeeeowch. Stairs are not friends to replaced joints. Nope.
I ran my hands over it...and made the realtor believe I could see myself
cooking in here....umm hmm.
and the coffee bar was workin' for me.
A cool 11 mill....what'dya think? Takers??
I wonder, however, if this Darlin' is an even better buy...at 39.6 million.
not three million. chump change.
But thirty nine million clams...
In our quaint little town.
Who knew?
But someone NEEDS it. I am sure.
Oooooh, interesting beams...striking!
The quieter, cozier den...
OK...is it me? must be...or is this kitchen not exactly
a thirty mill clam kitchen?
The solarium...because. Just because.
The hallway to said solarium. Oy.
This, folks, would be the bathroom's spa room...not the home spa...but the spa off of THIS bathroom there are 15 baths....not bad...2 mill per.
You would find me here. Yep. Living.
I dunno. The realtor said they are not seeing much change...and that these will be sold, no prob. Hmmmm.
Hope so...for their sake.
Truly.

wow! how stunning is this place! it's truely a palace! and i want to be queen of the castle!!! ;)
... this was a dream tour! I love to dream.
the second home is the dream home for me! much warmer and cozier in its grandness. more like old money than new. more in the old mizner style that i love, love, love.
ok, that spa room looks like heaven!
I could live in the spa room. It's just the right size, too -- about the same size as my entire house... hehe.
Thanks for the fun tour!

Those are dream homes, for sure. I'd love to cook in either of those kitchens, but I agree with you - the 2nd kitchen was a little lacking given the price and expanse of the rest of the house!!
Thanks for the tour!! ;)
oh did i love that tour... but i could not get off the deck with the outdoor kitchen, that is my dream space just there. i so love fl!
Darn....I knew I had expensive tastes...
Didn't have any eyes for the 1st place. Then you had to show us the 2nd.....WOW!
It's sooo big maybe take a week vacation in it, but holy moly I would get lost..definetly needing a GPS system there.
Not for my taste buds!
WOW! I hope that second home comes furnished for 39 million! I wouldn't mind living in either of them but I don't think I could afford the full time staff it would take to maintain one of those.
I'll take the view from the first house and give the house to someone else! The second is lovely, but 39 mill? Oh my head! And I agree- not a 39 mill kitchen lovely as it is!
Would be interesting to know how quickly, or not, that they sell.
The house is a little over the top for my taste, but that view is incredible.
I think I like the outdoor spaces the best, but I'd rather live at your home. So much more comfortable and inviting.

I've been told - and it makes sense to me - that people who have that kind of money are not affected by the "recession" in the same way as are we here in my middle class home. So those houses just might sell no problem. They are both beautiful. I like the first one better... the views! And having an outdoor kitchen like that? I could go for that life! Here in snow country, it seems like a wonderful dream.
What a dream. When I was a little girl I would knock on doors and ask the owners if they'd give a tour. (They always did, and their homes were SPOTLESS.) I'd love to get in the Vero Beach kitchen with my pastry bags and icing. :-) I specially love the window going up the staircase.
I cannot imagine ever spending that much money on a home. Yikes. But, 'tis lovely to dream...
A very nice place. Even though I love color there is something about the simple nature colors. xoxo
Incredible, Linda!! I love the porch, naturally.
Let me tell ya...that outdoor kitchen was phenomenal! There was a really pretty honed blue granite on the island that mimicked the sea just steps away...
Mama K...that is essentially what the realtor said. Can you imagine the commission on a 39 mill home??!
goodness! my eyes are bugging out of my head! those are huge. (too huge? yes.)
but lovely.
hahahah you hav eme cracking up- how you ran your hands over the island for the realtor's sake! beautiful places.. loved those arches on the balcony in the first home.
xoxo
the beams !!!!!!!!!!
love ' em .
keep an eye on it....let's see who moves in ( and when ).
xx
Wow! To both of them! The kitchen is amazing in that first one, and the view is so beautiful. :)
OH. MY. Goodness!
This is why I love your blog so much...everything you post I can relate to!
BEAUTIFUL pictures btw and I am just now catching up on your Mexico jaunt...ooooolala~I am totally checking out that place!
Have a fabulous week!
Linda! We just put an offer in on that second one!!!
Just kidding. Ha!
What a VIEW, loved that first house, I don't as a rule go for the Tuscan style, but that was light and bright, that Summer Kitchen was just beautiful and the Master with the balcony WOW
Great post,
Kathy :)

can some people actually afford this? lol. I have 5 children-that are grown, I'd have to have 10 more and then I wonder if all of our incomes still could even afford this!
Wow! I don't know. I think I'm ok with its over the top-ness! Beautiful!
Wow...What an amazing place!!! What it would be like to be able to afford an 11 million dollar home!! I guess one can always dream!!! Have a Happy Monday~~
It's really cool. Love the light crisp white for the Kitchen Cabinets.

What a gorgeous manse...and it should be too for that price.
Thanks for the lovely virtual tour ... so graphic and oh so inspiring too.
Oh my. This is quite a house! I love water homes; it's the Pisces in me! I think I could fit my little seaside place into the foyer here. ha. Thanks for coming by to visit me the other day. Hope to hear from you again. cheers, -susan (p.s. i was just listening to this song the other day, lime in the coconut.)
I could live on the porch, ceiling fans to move that sea air. I wonder if these folks use segways to get from the kitchen to the bathroom...just wondering
Oh my stars Linda!!! Sometimes it's just nice to look! Thanks, I truly enjoyed the tour immensity!
Blessings - Debbie
OH, JUST STOP IT! Stop it now, girl! These are just phenomenal. Thanks for sharing!
