Not so white Christmas…

We had a little holiday party…

And someone

forgot to blow out the candles.

yikes stripes.

The crooked tree is enrobed in construction paper gingerbread men from once little hands

and the palm fronds and foliage are happy they are a part of our festivities

perhaps they would have been happier on their own respective trees…but i didn’t stop to ask them with my machete in hand

Hey… it’s Florida…ya gotta embrace it in all it’s tropical glory

not so snowy…

Love your Christmas decorations...though we don't have snow here in Florida, we are fortunate in that fact we can use our beautiful natural resources like palms, and other tropicals to incorporate into our home decorating like you did, it's just lovely!!! We do have a lot of white sand here too.....always use our imagination and pretend it's snow. Really enjoyed your pictures. Hope you have a wonderful and blessed CHRISTmas!!!

I would love - LOVE - to spend Christmas in a warmer place. Over here in Norway, we've had one full month with abnormally cold weather even for November. Below freezing every day for four weeks, and now the forecast is for tons of snow as well. I hate it!

Anyway, I loved your photos. The beauty of tropical plants and colors makes me feel a bit warmer.

The place looks wonderful! Love all the decorations and greenery. We managed to get a tree up and it is decorated with only half of my ornaments and lights because I can't find the other boxes and have no energy left to look for them! :)

It's a happy place, your home! We wish we could have made it to the party but it was too far to travel in just one day (tucked in between all our other things...) Hope lots of people came by your Open House...you really do have an "open house"...it's so lovely being there, Christmas or not.

Sending you some of our cold weather your way! It is so SO freezing here today, and we even woke up to a little snow dusting, which should be awesome except that I'm a total wimp. My years in Texas completely ruined me to cold!

Your home looks perfectly Christmasy and gorgeous, melted candles and all :)

Well huh...I musta missed my invitation-those darn flamingos are slow to deliver sometimes (that's why storks bring babies ya know)

{wink}

That tree will carry straight through to Mardi Gras! That is the HAPPIEST tree i have ever seen! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

Do you think the peacock lampshade got tipsy? I don't know-he's so refined looking amongst the greens and silvers. Such a striking vignette...

Everything= SO SO lovely. Just like you!

I probably resemble the candles more, right about now :p

Sadly...I spoke to soon and those bromeliads are now frozen popsicles. Two nights in a row with temps around 19(windchill).

Brrrrrr.

Thanks you guys! Warm and wonderful holidays to you!!

Becky...we had about 80 folks throughout the evening...It was festive!

Anita, Debby...and all the Florida peeps. COVER the plants! I'm not sure how much it'll even help!

DeLovely! I think my favorite thing just may be the pine cones and greenery in the seashell. Something so simple yet so beautiful. ♥♥♥ Deb

It is a very nice thing to walk in the woods and not freeze your tail off collecting greenery...or so I thought until this year. Baby it's cold outside. Let's hope this year isn't like last year were geckos were falling from trees. Your home is beautiful.
Have a Merry and Bright holiday!

Must you do everything so perfectly? Festive but not too crowded to put down a drink or snacks; love it. Wish I'd been at that party!

Best wishes for a happy holiday/new year to you and the family!
