A pool story…To be continued

So…a few days after we got out of the hospital

a bus pulled up to our casa

and out poured several Hispanic men…clad in white.

to work on our pool.

Which DESPERATELY needed their help…

eeeegads. cannot believe I am showing you this.

IMG_2884

we let it get green because we knew we were going to empty it

and refinish it….

But SCARY it was!

IMG_2885

It is a vintage rectangular simple pool…and although I had LOTs of plans and ideas

we decided to do it as simply (read:cheap)

as possible.

IMG_2941

As much as I wanted to do some cobalt and white chevron tile…

it would have been a few thousand clams more…sooo we kept the vintage baby blue

::plus my brain was still fuzzy::

It fits just fine in our funky/ unstyled/ a little bit tropical jungle/

abode

No…I actually am not sure WHAT that is climbing the pool wall…

But these are bananas…happily fruiting.

AND most importantly….

Felipe loves it.

Don’t ask.

Is Felipe sunbathing in the nude? :) the pool looks beautiful. Having a backyard like yours would feel like I was on vacation all the time.
I chuckle when you mentioned about your head still being fuzzy because I live with something everyday because of a fuzzy moment. A couple years ago I was in the hospital and my husband was having a shower seamless door put in. I wanted it to swing out when we got in the shower. He said I asked and you wanted it to be stationary. My responds, I dont remember you asking me while I was heavy medicated on pain meds. Everyday I keep my fingers cross I don't fall as I juggle myself into the shower. :) xo

Love your pool boy and your vintage pool. Happy floating and I'm sure the father in the house is counting his lucky stars that his two girls are there and doing fine today.

I always say, keep the pool boy happy! Too funny! I LOVE your yard and pool. I know there are so many fancy resort ideas out there, but they really can't tough classic elegance. **happy smiles** Deb

The climbing plant is a Philodendron but so hard to tell the species there are hundreds.

Oh my goodness - all that lovely and then - Felipe! I have to ask. Or never mind - I'll just imagine. I read about your accident with daughter - so scary. Hope you're both feeling better. Perhaps some relaxing by the pool is in line

you are so freakin funny Linda. I love it!

Plus, your pool pretty much looks like paradise. Actually even the funky green looked pretty srrounded by all the green :)

I'm soooooo glad that you;re home and recovering. I've been praying so hard for you and your sweet one.

You all (y'all) are all sooo supportive. Can you just make yourselves really really tiny...and live on my shoulder?

Thank you again...somuch for your concern, thoughts and prayers. I truly feel them, and it brings tears to my eyes!

Some comments that had coffee coming out of my nose: Picturing Joyce wiggling into a "drug induced design" of a shower!

Carla and Deborah: Pool Boy...snort! Felipe has a new name now!

Debby: Who is not too sure of THAT thing floating thing in there.

Lyes...I had a feeling....cause it is also climbing a palm. We have a caucopony of Philodendroms...but this is by far the most prolific and overbearing.

And Tara...Poverty is a great Preserver...I want THAT on a tee-shirt!
