Guilt{less} Sunday….

So we have had rain

and cold

SOME would not call it that. But it is to us…to ours

I went out with all good intentions

to work on the damage.

Of Ignoring a jungle.

I am sure it only  takes days

of benign neglect. not weeks or months

{Path to the barn…that I SO want to work on}

For the Inmates to get restless

{Avocado tree touching the clouds…with nary a fruit to be found}

{meditation corner. We have taken to naming the different *rooms* in our yard}

{Crazy huge Chinese Fan Palm….was in a six inch pot, originally.}

OY.

smelling the flowers…watching a game.

Looks like tropical heaven to me. I need to move there. My family won't go, so I'd have to leave them. It is about 500 degrees below where I live, under 6' of snow. I am taking the kids and grandkids to Disney World this December, so maybe I can convince them that someplace warm is better.

I with you on the guiltless sunday...after sending all the kiddos and grandkids home....I've been cuddled under a blankie on the couch watching movies and eating popcorn!!!
Not a guilty bone in this ol' body!!

I agree!!!
The weather killed everything and almost me too. They should have "closed Georgia". We aren't prepared for it and with the bridges frozen and the island a mess…I just went to bed for 2 !/2 days...

Haha :) I have one of those Chinese palms...slow-growing the label said. I keep chopping the middle out of it to keep it down but it persists. So It'll have to go one of these days :)

WOW!
you need to have a neat little cd player out there with the sounds of a rain forest!
that would be cool when you're sitting in the meditation room.
you crack me up.
i love your jungle.
i think you and becky should see just how big your chinese palms will grow! they're BEAUTIFUL!
any snakes visit in there though???

Ha! Yep we have our share of snakes (they are shy...and rarely see them) We also have a veritable zoo of possums, raccoons, rabbits, armadillos, squirrels and all sorts of birds!

The Chinese fan palm will happily grow 50 feet!

Jane...You were A LOT colder than here. It really does some damage!

Donna....I bet you can convince them!!

Linda - your garden is just amazing! Vero Beach is on the top of my list for my next house! Every time the temps drop we start trolling the internet in search of property in that area. I just need a tiny house and a big garden. Even California is just not warm enough for me. Too much marine layer - not enough heat!
Cheeers!
