Land of the lotus=eaters'...

On the sultry Mediterranean just off the coast of Africa is the tiny Isle of Jerba.

It is believed this little slice of the Sahara in the Mediterranean,

was the inspiration for James Joyce's mythical lotus-eaters' land...

which seduced Ulysses into staying forever.

Nestled deep in this exotic isle is the beautiful

Inside is an oasis of calm.

With only ten rooms, it offers a bevy

of ways to slip into serene state of being...

..two pools

A Moorish cafe

Reading rooms with a fireplace,

Turkish baths

a rustic authenticity...

Go ahead...taste the lotus flower...

you may not want to go home.
Find the sumptuous hotel and some panoramic pics here.
