Ok....Does it count as Christmas…

If one were to plunk some candy canes hand made

in an old pitcher

IMG_4390-1

add a few balls and sprigs

...and call it a day?

Not so much... you say?

oh.

IMG_4394

Ok…a little wee Santa too?

IMG_4391

Maybe add a teensy wreath...

IMG_4392

Or two?

Now...can it count as Christmas?

IMG_4395

Not enough yet?

Ok.

How about I take said handmade candy canes…

and offer you this

christmas

Aha!

Thought so.

Imbibe.

It’s The Holiday season.

right?

ah, what a refreshing visit here i'm having.

reminds me of this quote:

the little things?
they aren't little.

you create sacred space here, ms. lime in the coconut.

okay, now that i've acknowledged the reverence, i'm lapping down the candy cane and on to the drinks.

:)

OK, I'm in the mood now...got off on your candy canes amidst those beauteous white vessels accented by fun black motifs...and I'll have one of those red things to drink, please, ma'am. :)

posted your kitchen story today!!! Now I can celebrate by getting ready for Christmas guests arriving on Friday...in the nick of time, I am!

Given my lack of decorating around here, I'm happy to say that one tiny Santa Claus and some festive alkeehaulic drinks are all I need to consider the place decorated and ready for St. Nick!

Oh that TOTALLY counts! Especially since I "plunked," too, this weekend! You've done a lot...I plunked candy canes and balls and called it a day. Your display looks great!! (and I am so relieved to read comments to see that you did not make the candy canes...or I would have been totally jealous/envious, lol! ;-)

oh...it WAS enough with all the white walls and bowls with touches of holiday colors, but when you offered the drinks...oh yea baby.......love it!

You had me at "candy canes."

But I kept reading along, because I knew you'd probably sneak in even more design. And generate a few laughs.

Everything is just darling, and now I'm on record as calling something darling. Damn you and your adorable vignettes, Ms L!
