Dayum chair-1…me-0.

Ok…I am sooooo sorry I didn’t put the chair in the chair upholstering

place.

Yep….kinda like military school. Sounds just about perfect

now. The beast.

IMG_4848

Ripped off the cording. No prob. Massive amounts of glue. But no prob.

feeling strong

IMG_4847

Carefully sorta pulled off very resistant material. No kinda sorta prob.

Wrote on overly resistant pieces

letting them know who is boss…

ha!

IMG_4850

Down to the stuffin’

IMG_4855

My crew…pathetic as they are

but skilled and trainedready for battle. oh yeah!

IMG_4849

WTH?!

I’m feeling dizzy...

IMG_4860

C’mon…your kidding…right?

IMG_4859

Oh dear God…Mother of mercy…

The chair is winning...

IMG_4861

To be continued…..

arrrghhhhhhhhhh!

Sorry about that. Comment should have read........Oooooh! you are soooo brave to take this on but I am backing you to win!!
This also proves that you should preview before asking to publish!!!!!

You are brave, make sure and show us step by step.

Brave...sweet, but I am thinking maybe more like stupid!

I thought it would be easier...this one is a BEAR! My hands are killing me!

Thanks for the strength!!

Good luck. I am impressed I never would have attempted this.

What talent you have!! I wish I could recover a chair like that!!
Can't wait to see the finished product:)

It feel your pain...I tried upholstering once. Got it done but not without having to glue upholstery braid over the edges instead of stitching in covered cording that matched the chair. It's not an easy job to do.
Thinking of you and cheering you on!
Still, despite your sore hands, it looks promising...

I have been wanting to recover a small rocker that belonged to my husband's grandfather but I don't know how to do it:( Kinda scared to get started because I might just screwed it up.

PS I love the fabric.

I ams sure you are winning Linda....xv

Hey all who haven't tried it...but want to. Do it! It usually is much easier...best to start on maybe a dining chair. When you pull the pieces off, you can see how they go back on. Insides first then cover with the back.

Don't listen to my rants....I'm just being dramatic! Try it!!

linda, are you kidding? you know you are going to win. it's clear you are going to win!

but i do have one suggestion for moments like this, if you don't mind:

WTH?! is best replaced with WTF?!

it's been my experience that WTF?! grabs the attention of the universe (and everyone else in the room) faster and more effectively.

:)

Ha ha -- YES you are being a drama queen, because while I don't doubt the project is a grueling PITA the CHAIR is not winning, madam!

In fact, it's looking unbelievably good. That fabric, seriously. As I said before, a match made in decorating heaven. Let me know when it's done so I can hire someone to come steal it.

Are you actually going to let any butts IN Big Butt? Don't know that I'd be able to let any derrieres do their thing in such a work of art!

You must win!

I have this chair in the corner of my guest room that I have been procrastinating to reupholster since I bought it. I swear it gives me a look everyday saying, "you don't have the guts!". I think you just gave me the courage to take it apart and give it a try!

Holy smokes, what a beautiful chair. Keep us informed how it turned out.

And many thanks for your sweet words on my blog the other day.

You're doing a wonderful job Linda! It is fun to completely transform a piece like this one isn't it? You'll be so proud of yourself when it's complete! I like your crew, simple but trained and affective....the best kind! Funny post as usual! Have a great day!
