Ripped off the cording. No prob. Massive amounts of glue. But no prob.

Carefully sorta pulled off very resistant material. No kinda sorta prob.
Wrote on overly resistant pieces
letting them know who is boss…
ha!

but skilled and trained…ready for battle. oh yeah!

It feel your pain...I tried upholstering once. Got it done but not without having to glue upholstery braid over the edges instead of stitching in covered cording that matched the chair. It's not an easy job to do.

I have been wanting to recover a small rocker that belonged to my husband's grandfather but I don't know how to do it:( Kinda scared to get started because I might just screwed it up.

Hey all who haven't tried it...but want to. Do it! It usually is much easier...best to start on maybe a dining chair. When you pull the pieces off, you can see how they go back on. Insides first then cover with the back.
Don't listen to my rants....I'm just being dramatic! Try it!!

but i do have one suggestion for moments like this, if you don't mind:
WTH?! is best replaced with WTF?!
it's been my experience that WTF?! grabs the attention of the universe (and everyone else in the room) faster and more effectively.

Ha ha -- YES you are being a drama queen, because while I don't doubt the project is a grueling PITA the CHAIR is not winning, madam!
In fact, it's looking unbelievably good. That fabric, seriously. As I said before, a match made in decorating heaven. Let me know when it's done so I can hire someone to come steal it.

I have this chair in the corner of my guest room that I have been procrastinating to reupholster since I bought it. I swear it gives me a look everyday saying, "you don't have the guts!". I think you just gave me the courage to take it apart and give it a try!
