Another chair project…

::YAWN::
Hey......I heard that!

Maybe I have a little chair affliction

But

I found some more fabric

and a wayward chair, that happens to have been begging for a revamp

and little does the foyer know...but it is getting on the revamp train too! Shhh.

Meet Mini Butt

Actually in our casa we call it the papa B chair.

It was one of the first things I ever dragged home from the salvation army maybe 20 years ago

My Dad carefully and meticulously

removed the layers of black and gray paint so hip so now

on the hand carved legs...and so they will stay.

It has worn many “clothes” through the years.

But for it’s new facelift…I found some sturdy cotton/linen

Similar to the big butt chair. It was a dream to work with!

I’ll use the leftover nailheads from the last chair project

I have some fun suzani{ish} fabric to make a bolster pillow out of.

Ta-da

see you on the other side…

hopefully.

Linda, you're so hilarious. Affliction? How about Addiction? I'm glad to see that Chair B has such great bones...this'll be a much simpler project than the BIG BUTT!

You are so inspiring me to get busy on a couple of my chairs. Yours is going to look just beautiful! X Trina

Best of luck. This may be easier than big butt but it is still tougher than my recent chair makeover post. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Love that chair and the fabric! You're brave. I always want to recover but don't have it in me. Maybe I'll take a class.

You are amazing, I would never try that. It's hard to upholster.
I am sure it will make a big change.

I'll be coming back to see the finished product.. Good Luck..

What a beautiful chair! I spent time at a huge fabric store in NC and I get so excited about all the beautiful fabric...especially the heavy fabric! I've never done a chair...but I may someday! ♥

Karen...Usually the fabrics seem to find me. Like, they have been in the linen closet for years just waiting for the perfect project. In this case I went searching for a hardy linen/cotton blend. Much like I used for the last chair. The Suzani just begged me and that was all she wrote. I have no doubt she wanted a bigger part...but she is relegated to a bolster pillow (or two or three...but don't tell the diva that!)

Both found at my local Calico Corners.

It REALLY is easier than it seems guys...I'll try to show you how easy. Starting tonight. I'll take pics. You'll see.

OK...I went back and read again. I thought you were using the bolster fabric on the chair. I see you are using the linen.
