Or…perhaps…this?

‘Stead of the horse photo?(see last post)

I’m on a roll

slow roll…but a roll all the same.

and a bit more context for you.

yes…I know the floors need a fresh glazing

I have considered attaching mop cloths to a certain big black dogs feet

...and duster to a tail.

How about the horses over in this corner…

grazing?

Better? Not?

Heartfelt thanks for your continued thoughts

for our son...

He's getting stronger and stronger.

I am not a designer for sure. I like the artifacts vs. the horses.

Your home is stunning.
I couldn't find out what happened to your son other than he is healing.
My best thoughts, wishes and prayers go out to you and your family.
Our son just out of the hospital on Thursday after three nights.
He had a bike accident and had some serious injuries too (neck brace and all).
So my heart REALLY does go out to you!

First of all, looking at these photos, what a wonderful collection of interesting artifacts you have around your home! And...I actually like the horse photo where it was, but I'd have to stop by and actually see the space in person to make sure. This is one of the reasons I stopped doing remote design work, nothing can replace seeing a place in person to know what works best! Janell

Where do you get your energy anyway??? The room looks great but that pineapple painting needs to go! You need to sell it to ME!!

I am so glad that your son is on the mend. I have a son too so I know there is nothing worse for a mama than seeing her boy in pain.

So glad to hear your son is getting better! Re the decor, I have to say I preferred the horses where they were. But, hey, that's just being fussy - it all looks fab. Jane :)

It fits so perfectly over that small desk...that I almost think it looks TOO perfect! I would probably leave it there for awhile to enjoy it! You have such a beautiful home! ♥

Your style is so chic and LaLinda that I'm pretty sure if you put a feedsack on the wall you'd do it with such elegance and grace I'd be saying to myself, now Roo why didnt YOU think of that?

So who am I to think to say where the horses hsould run free?

I say I LOVE IT!

also, swooning over your floors--and the idea of a sham wow bow wow!

Love the horses in their new location.
Really great photo!
Your home looks amazing. It is beautiful but not untouchable. You're good. Really good.
So glad (thrilled) to hear the update on your son.

Love the horses, but it is too large over this piece, it looks (to me) over the larger piece! I love all of your artifacts, they are treasures to be sure. xx

Good news about your son!

I'm sure you must be feeling so much better, better enough that I can say:

"That's a tall wall there, ma'am, and I like, but don't LOVE, the options...and I know you probably have other fabulous art up your sleeve."*

/ducks

Maybe play a bit more? Something the scale of the horses turned 90 degrees might be interesting (or not). Or hey, turn the horses themselves 90 degrees--I mean why not make the piece even more abstract (or not!)?

* If I had to pick from my ALLOTED options, I'd pick the artifacts. Round with straight, straight with round. Yea!

I love the horses but think they are too big over the small desk. I loved them over the credenza!!

My son has this photo in his room.

Love seeing more of your beautiful home!! I love the horses over the credenza- like how it balances that big wall. But hey, I think they would look great anywhere.... like at my house!!

So happy that your son is doing better. Hugs.

Linda, I'm so behind on my blog reading, and I'm just catching up. I'm so sorry that your son is/was ill. I feel so bad that I missed out on supporting you. A special prayer goes out to you and your family. I hope everything is getting better.

On a side note (and a shallow one), the horse image is stunning! I never would have thought of blowing up P.W.'s print! Genius!

Scale-wise, I prefer the horses over the big piece, which I vote, yes, to paint. (Altho, the horses do look great over the other one, too.) You've got great style!!

Yes!!! Both look absolutely fabulous.

I've been in love with the pioneer woman's horse photos. This one fits right into your home.

ps- I'm totally stealing your dusting idea!!! We have a (supposedly non-shedding....) rhodesian ridgeback that should be earning her keep around here :)
