Finds…

Another banner find day at our local Habitat for Humanity

really….some days are just good that way.

IMG_7134

Pinecone Ginger wanted a gratuitous head shot…Drama queens in the back yard. sigh.

Now you may laugh

go ahead insert laugh now

But I caught this little orphan in the corner of my eye…

IMG_7149

Used to be brass…in it’s heyday…now it kinda looks like mercury glass. kinda

IMG_7147

With a sad shade…

But I also found the piece of heavy grasscloth wallpaper for 4 clams.

I’m thinking covering the shade with it…

IMG_7145

Maybe?

IMG_7150

9 clam lamp….yea or nay?

Also found a gorgeous little wool textile….

a rug that may land at the foot of our bed…or somewhere nifty.

Enjoy your Weekend….go find your local Habitat store

…and support it!

I'm going to my Habitat store today in search of a bookcase, but they never (never!) have stuff as cool as your store!

Love the softened brass... funny how that happened. I'm guessing it's going to be a very versatile piece in your pretty home. Pleasant weekend!

The lamp is great. We sell a pair at perch., are you sitting down, for 650. EACH! And I recently saw a pair on eBay for 270. that I nearly bought just bc the prices was so good.
Buy the lamp even if you don't know where you will use it at this very moment.

Dayum VV...$650?

I was considering spraying the base black, cause it is in worse shape than the ole' lamp. We'll see.
Thanks for the props!!

noo..... don't spray paint it...it is fabulous the way it is! I think once you jazz up the shade with the grasscloth wp, it will be a keeper for sure!

have a great weekend!! :)

IVY...If I did just the very bottom base....no the rest I would leave.

mmm....perhaps just the bottom base..might look really good...shiny? or matte?..... can't wait to see the shade!

Happy Sunday! :)

SWANKY for sure! Love it's figure and love the shade idea. I have a roll of that grasscloth stuff...never thought about a shade. Hurry...I wanna see it! And the Nate looking rug is a keeper for sure.

You are killing me on the finds...I'm trying to unload some old finds before I go looking for new finds. Very difficult when everyone is talking about current finds. My friend (new to the thrifting thing) found a TO-DIE-FOR nude painting yesterday...$10 bucks. It was so pretty. I was SO envious...it tugged at me like the baby painting does. I've got to say though...our Habitat is nothing to write home about...mostly broken junk.
