I know this piece of info is hard for you to contain your excitement
BUT…
I used a trick I recently saw here…Using half of a grapefruit and salt
...Sprinkle salt on the delectable and juicy grapefruit half liberally
Wet your shower and tile and use the fruit as the scrubber…
one half Grapefruit will do your whole bathroom...seriously
great on the fixtures too.
….And talk about a wake me up fresh smell!
Better than a fresh cuppa Joe.
really.
Try it.
Now off to see if it will tackle the discolored grout in our powder room…..
Citrus….who knew?!

This is over the top!!!! I admit I couldn't figure hoow a bathroom and a grapefruit would hook up. If you think ab out it some people use lemon and salt to clean their copper...... Why not?????Maryanne xo
What a fabulous tip! I'm going to try this one out for sure! Thanks :)
I saw that too and wondered if it would work, I guess it makes perfect sense. If you are going to use an abrasive cleaner why not a natural one. Love the smell of citrus so I am sure I would love this too, Happy Sunday,Kathysue
I'll be trying it...smells good! I just finished clearing my drains with baking soda and vinegar...fresh but not fruity :)
A old friend of mine used to use a half lemon and salt to scour the kitchen sink. This was 20 years ago. I used to think she was crazy but I guess she was way ahead of her time.
well that's a great idea! never saw that before.
i like that tip!...i am getting a house ready to sell and a fresh citrus scent is what i am after....right on!
love it--- the natural stuff is best!
I think I have a grapefruit salt scrub spa product too :)
...I imagine all citrus would work, just that grapefruit is the perfect size for the shower and tub....hmmmmm....lime scented. Hello.
Ooooh. And key is squeezing the juice (and you get pulpy piths...but they will rinse away)and letting it sit for awhile.
Scub away people!!
Thank you very much for dropping by my blog. Richard from Amish stories.
What a great idea! and you live in the best location to get those grapefruit! Going to try it tomorrow... There is no scent I love more than the smell of grapefruit!

I can't wait to try this! I totally believe it works. I never tried it, but I often hear of people using lemons/lemon juice to clean their greasy and rusty printing presses, and I used some sort of orange-based cleaner for some of my old type and they are bright and shiny like new.
I'm going to try this and will let you know...
BTW, I tried your watermelon cube with you posted over the 4th of july...it was a big hit...very cute...
Sounds like a great idea, thanks for sharing.
Since I ADORE grapefruit, I can only imagine how this must smell. and it really cleans, huh?

I've used lemons and salt to clean copper but didn't know about grapefruit and salt. What a great idea!
Picked up a copy of "Kitchen & Bath Makeovers" and was so happy to see the article on your beautiful bathroom!
