For those looking for a night shot…

Of our cheapy outdoor lights
Seriously…you remember those ceiling globes? You can find them a dime a dozen at thrift stores….or Habitat home stores.
Fill them up with christmas lights…plug ‘em in. Or, as a reader mentioned…try battery operated if it is for a special evening.
We have a few throughout the yard…different sizes

thank you for taking the pics and I love them, I thought they may be dim but they seem to give enough light to see by. thank you! I'm always looking for simple but magical lighting especially for my garden in the back....south Florida can be lovely if you work at it.

**swoons** Be still my heart. Just the mood I LOVE. You have them all on one timer, yes? At the old house, we left our Christmas lights on the palm trees all year long on timers with the other garden lights and pergola. Only took them off when the palms grew and broke the line. Yes, in this desert heat! Well, thank you very much for getting me in a romantic mood! **happy smiles** Deb

Yes, Lady of the Woods....they are quite bright...more than just ambient lights. I think they have one of those small strands of 50 lights in each of them.

Deb....yep....timers. I also have, ahem, some Christmas lights on our two palms out front.

So cool. I love it that you used such an ordinary thing that we're all trying to replace now in our homes.

A simple, clean, artistic, raw home, where the focus is on the beauty of nature outside the door and i like the light that you use.

Pretty! I also buy up the old open-ended vanity light shades - set them upright, light a little votive candle in them on a mantel and voila!
