The second house to be built in this town of orange groves and coconuts
a long long time ago
is a farmhouse up a sandy hill
once a pineapple plantation in the late 1800’s
:: Pineapple Hill Farm ::
OLD Florida, folks.
Over 120 years of sun and hurricanes and mosquitoes and the smell of orange blossom
and life.
It and it’s sister cottages were lovingly restored
and are lived in.
BUT….here is the fun part
Furniture collectors and kindred spirits Erin her nephew Cameron and their friend Mo
have created
Fabulous Farm Sales
Where maybe one Saturday a month they open up the marvelous little barn on the property
and sell their pickings…
And pickins’ there are
some calmly hanging out in the sweltering sun
cool as cucumbers…southern style.
Inside…
the rusty roofed barn is lippin’ full
of vintage treasures…
:: a few found their way home with me ::
adorable little hair ties that Mo makes…
A lot of magic happens on this little vintage compound…and big plans for much more!
One of the cottages is rented out seasonally, farmtables and urns and chandeliers can be rented for a fabulous party or wedding….
The restored 1966 truck fits RIGHT in
they call her Tildie Mae.
perfect.
watch for their sales….
I sure will.
