Cozy days....

It is cold...and damp.
I know so many of you are dealing with much colder...much damper.
But I want to light a candle on my nightstand,
and pull the down blanket around me tighter.
Cold hurts in the land of sun.
Our homes aren't built for it,
I can never find my wool slippers...
never have enough warm clothes.
So....I use the down blanket.

...and find a good book,

...and when the sun decides to show it's glowing face....
I'll let it in.

....and maybe tomorrow will be a day of warm breeze,
Doors and windows open...
Pictures: Coastal Living
Warmth is coming, folks....
Promise.

It's so warm here, come west, Linda, come west!!

I love the photos - the beachiness of it all, books, books, and more books - the soft hues and gauzy white -- the unpretentiousness of it all. God, I love living at the beach, and your

I could while away the winter in any one of those rooms. Even though it's just gorgeous here in Austin. :-)

as of right now, I am trading warmth for cold, give me -40 oC and i give you 36 oC
I'd even settle for 25 oC. It's a deal??

The bedroom is beautiful, love the "washed blue"color

You always seem to find a way to include a pic that opens up a world of possibilities for me...

This time it is the bookshelves surrounding the doorway. LOVE it.

I'm going to hold you to that promise, LOL! :)

Like you said, I know others have it much worse, but it is a tad chilly here in the land of Red and cozying with a blanket sounds fab. Even though I lived 7 years in the midwest, my winter clothes are limited, so I am always cold and looking for a cozy corner to curl up in and these look great. Thanks for stopping by for Monday blues. :)

Hmmm...looks nutritiously warm and relaxing...that season is almost here.

No rush.

No need to hear the swank call of summer - yet. Nor the heady notes of a Rush in the green...the soft metalic tings of dry snow on small limbs is enough for now...now is a good time to see possibilty in others postings and just smile.

My favorite pic is of the bookcase surrounding the doorway. That, to me, says cozy and lazy, wrapped up in a warm blanket and a hot toddy!

It has been a little chilly here in Florida. I had my comforter up around my nose the last few nights. Wind and rain just blew through here and it got colder. I just can't find it in me to turn on the heat. What's that they say about your blood getting thinner? Always thought it was a wives tale. But now, not so much.

Here up in the cold north of Scandinavia I just wait for the sun and the warmth to return. Every evening I,m sitting in my sofa with the blankett around me and the candles lightening. I love the cozy corner in the first picture. Lovely!

Ok, ok...I know it must sound like whining. But it will be at the freezingzone tonight (and we...make that me...have a stupid thing about turning on the heat...but do spend time covering up some tropicals that would turn their toes up at these temps)

Honestly? I kinda love the change...as long as palms don't die.

Karlene....yep, those are shells around the mirror!

Hee, Lauren...trust me...you didn't bring it (cause it dodn't leave when you did!!)

Thanks for all of your great comments. makes me warmer. Kinda. Sorta.

Smooch!!
