I am so glad right now that I chose the porcelain slate tile floors. I want to put my face on them. Great pictures.

If I ever live south, which I hope I will some day (... I'm working on overcoming my fear of lightening and hurricanes), it has to be stone floor.

Linda, I was just thinking of you when I saw on the news that you guys hit a record 101 degrees today! Yikes!

We spent the day at the beach, where it was VERY windy and our umbrella kept blowing away. We had fun in the waves, though.

Hope you have your A/C crankin'.

I have slate floors,
dark and cool is the trick to this horrendous heat. Keep the sun out!

I can actually say....it's hot here too!!! But I love it b/c it's not hot here often!! In fact I sat out in the pool all day sipping white wine and sweltering!! Happy Monday~

Yes. I must say, Edward is most seriously displeased with the current temp/humidity combination!

It's not too hot here in Santa Monica, but I know it's coming. As soon as things start heating up, I'll look for this post for relief.

I hear it is blistering hot in your neck of the woods! We have had so much rain that my cilantro plant is looking like a drowned weed! The humidity today was icky.
Stay in the pool and stay cool! xoxo

I hear that it has been pretty toasty down there. No radiant heat needed in the tile floors there!
Stay cool, B.

yes, it has been ridiculous here in Miami Beach... we drove North to see family and delighted in the "cool" ocean waters of Stuart/Jensen Beach!!!

Your blog always makes me so happy!

I just heard about the heat and lightning storms today in south FL, where we have a place.
It's not too pleasant here in the islands, either, with no escapes like really good air-conditioning.

Long hot summer ahead for all of us, it seems! However, your photos are a welcome relief on this hot, humid tropical night.

The heat hasn't hit here in Los Angeles, but it will soon enough. Then I'll be posting things like this!

Beautiful pics Linda, I need a towel too please!

I love the feel of the spaces and really like the Asian piece of furniture in that last photo.
