I love textiles…You??...
I actually have a collection of rugs…that have been down on the floor
then folded and put away
then down…then up. OY
But I have never put one on the wall…thought about slipcovering a chair or bench in one of my dhurrie rugs though.
I bought a vintage South American rug/throw in Argentina
Once used for putting on the ground and sleeping on while gathering up their lamas…
the colors are vibrant and alive…I loved that part
Not sure what I’ll do with it yet
Ideas???
Above is another one from Canadian House and Home…great on a table.
I also picked up some old seltzer bottles…
I know I know…I should have been picking up leather boots and purses….
But noooooo. I go for the old used stuff that cost less than a song
love the glass…the tops…would have brought ton’s more home
but they were heavy!
And I found some enamel street numbers for a song…
This thoroughly confused the husband
Had to have ‘em. Have a few ideas...floating in my head somewhere
What floats your boat these cooler sorta kinda days???
Hmmmm

I had an old rug I bought that I loved with lots of colors in it!! I put it on the back of some chairs that are cowhide on the front . They look fab!! I need to send you a pik!!
Those purchases are right up my alley! I absolutely love the old bottles. I laugh when you mention your collection of carpets. I have enough for three houses! (including about 10 runners but no hallways...)
I have several carpets from Afghanistan that will one day be hung back on my walls--two smallish Persians with a lot of cream and white and I don't want them to get stained, a small Chinese silk that is the basis for many color palettes in my houses, and an old Afghan carpet (that I think is so old I don't want anyone walking on it!). I can't wait to hang them again. In my old house I had a beautiful staircase with a walkway between sections of the house and I hung some of them (and some afghan saddle bags made of carpets) over the railing.
I love seeing the photos from your trip. It makes me so anxious to unpack all my goods. Sigh. I sure wish I could finish my house some day soon!
Love your finds! The rug is super gorgeous..., and I think it would look great on a wall. I have seen that before (somewhere)..., above the couch or the bed. The table idea is kind of cool too. I remember seeing a quilt as a table cloth!
What wonderful finds ... those bottles are fantastic. Good eye ...
Have a lovely eve. TTFN ~Marydon
I love all the beautiful things you've collected! I love anything beautiful...and have been drawn to big old bowls lately!
Love your blog! I've felt like a traveler seeing all of your photos!
IF, and that is a BIG IF, i had a beach house, I would use the bottles as soap dispensers in my laundry room, and guest bath!!!
I love the rug! I can't wait to see what you do with it.
I love the house numbers and the seltzer bottles and you got some GREAT ones. Swoon swoon swoon - the rug/llama gatherer sleeper would make a great bench cushion cover. It's really fab!
I'm a total tactile textile gal, too so that first photo sent me to the moon. yummilicious.

I love those seltzer bottles...fun. I'm with you, I would rather bring these kinds of things home than purses, etc.
I like how the rug from BC Homes is on the table...can't wait to hear where you decide to put yours.
Those bottles are just amazing! Love rugs on the walls, it's very common in Moroccoan interiors, so so beautiful!!

love those bottles and signs so much decorating potential.
i like the idea of putting the rugs on the wall, never thought of that. b has a rug we bought in turkey that he loves and protects SOOO much. I think the wall might be a great place for it, since he barely trusts me and Norm to walk on it :)
LOVING the cooler weather, of course cool weather in cali and florida is always delicous.

Love the stripes! So fresh and colorful. I see pillows but find it really difficult to cut things up! They would be cute on a dark would chair as well!
Great purchases!
nice finds, love the rugs
and the old banners.
My seltzer bottle:
