The sea grapes are full of fruit here in SWFL too. I know you can make sea grape jelly although I've never tasted it myself. Florida Cracker old-timers are known for being pretty resourceful so I wouldn't doubt that there is a recipe for sea grape wine out there (for medicinal purposes of course).
i have never made sea grape jelly, but i bet it is good. when i was a little kid we used to eat them when they were ripe....without our parents knowledge. ...we had just moved to fla and they knew 'sea grapes' from shnee grapes!!!
Love the surfboard in the background. It must be hard to think of fall and winter in sunny Florida! You have the most lush pickings for your arrangements right outside your door in your beautiful garden. Lucky girl!

I planted a line of them 12 years ago to block out some obnoxious neighbours. They are huge and I love to eat them fresh out of hand whenever I pass by on my drive mower. Some people make a wine but I have never heard of the jelly.

Medicinal...of course.
We have plenty of sea grapes here now, but I have never had sea grape jelly or wine. I may need to give both recipes a try.
Lovely arrangement Linda!

You are the one! I'm sitting here with the hub who is asking if there is such a thing as sea grape jelly...ok, I'll go look it up :)
Yep, lots of recipes for sea grape jelly out there. For every cup of sea grape juice, you'll need a cup of sugar plus 1/3 cup of LIME JUICE!!
Lime...Perfect.
I've never heard of sea grapes, but everything looks so nice...can I come over!?

Sea grapes-interesting, not here in San Diego, just stopping by to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!
Linda,
A gorgeous arrangement! Sea grapes, not here in Kansas City; although the jelly and maybe wine sounds good!
