The adventures of Pearl...sigh.

This dog
with the constellation of three freckles on her nose
 is smart as a whip

spunky... with a little side of wild

stealth...like a shark

and least of all
Deaf and Blind.

Threading beads without a Knot on the end
 is the best
description of living with her.
constantly moving things....and finding places
where she doesn't belong
The other morning  I was getting ready for work
and as I walked towards the kitchen
an Alfred Hitchcock shadow was moving across the room
entering the kitchen
I found the light swinging
and this....

Not cool
Helen Pearl Keller
Not cool.

I was wondering about her eyes. Poor thing. I bet it doesn't slow her any. She is adorable. One time I was sitting at our dining room table when our Springer just jumped right up. I realized that was why they were called springer show, ha.

Oh how I wish there was some kind of surgery for her eyes. How in the world she thought of getting up on that table. Thank you so much for taking care of pearl. Needs all the love in the world.

What a great dog.
Love her pink nose, her freckles and that black eye.

This one does not let a little deafness and blindness stop her ONE IOTA! She can unlock all of our primitive bungee cord locks....grab a jar of peanut butter....decimate it. in 5 quick seconds. Figured out how to open the LOCKING garbage bin.OY.

OMG! thank god she has YOU!
What a beauty though.
It's so great to know she's landed in a safe place
full of love, patience and understanding.
I have a deaf Dane myself.
He's ten and a half and I must say he's been perfect.
I've had him since he was 8 weeks old and he's the easiest dog ever.
Poor Pearl, the blindness must be so hard at times.
XOXOXO

In doing a thorough cleaning of the house (think bleach...c'mon when you find your dog on the TABLE...well you gotta!) I find the giant sized once full bottle of ketchup (think Sam's size) under the cushion of the couch. Top gnawed off, contents blurbing out. Channeling calm. Channeling understanding. Breathe deeply Breathe slowly.......

Pearl is a hoot...I love her.
That photo of her on the table is absolutely PRICELESS!!
Just make sure you lock away the stuff that can harm her, she's quite inquisitive but that is understandable because of her inability to see and hear.

You are such a blessing to that dog. She is so adorable! How in the world did she get on the table? I mean how did she even know she could? Astonishing! And the stink eye she is getting from the sibling is serious!!

Heavenly days!!!! You are nothing short of AMAZING!!! Thank you SO MUCH for taking in this beautiful girl and weathering her "maturation"! When Shar asked how did she even know she COULD get on the table....I think the answer is that she just has no idea that she CANNOT do WHATEVER crosses her curious little mind. She certainly is a jewel! There will be extra stars in your crown for providing love and safety for this one! May God bless and keep you ALL!!!
