I see myself falling gracefully into the first tub, happy and content. Only to wake up from my dream back into reality that shows me falling into that tub and breaking my neck.
I am only graceful in my dreams.
Both of them are lovely ideas though! Thanks for sharing.
You are SO funny! It's true..., I'm still laughing, because I'm actually seeing someone stepping right into it in the dark... Then, in a bathroom setting, I really want to be higher up, not down on floor level while soaking.
I would definitely fall in that tub in the dark. Vanessa of a Fanciful Twist actually has a tub in her Gypsy Garden. I'm thinking she would love the paint on this one.
OOOOOOOO, that first pic is indeed very dangerous. I would fall and break my neck! Second one is not so bad. Just imagine, bathing out of doors. I kinda like the thought of it! ;-)
I love that first bathroom - that's a super cool tub. And the second one would be cool at some kind of cabin in the woods where there were no other humans for miles. Although, it seems easier to bathe with the risk of onlookers than to use the potty with others watching. Just sayin'.
Ha! Well now, the first one, definitely an accident waiting for me. The second one has my name all over it... I could be discreet in the wee hours, a little candlelight :-)
Ha. This cracked me up. Surely there's some sort of cover for that tub in the floor--it would certainly be a liability in my household in the middle of the night otherwise!
Funny, maybe, but (and this is my most embarrassing moment) once, when I was at a yardsale, I was walking across a lawn toward a back porch where they were selling vintage wicker. Looking straight ahead, I fell right into their inground pool...so I don't think that bathtub would work for me :)
Pic #1: Am WAY too neurotic to have an in-floor sunken tub. I wudnt enjoy soaking b/c i'd be too busy glaring at my tile groutlines and eyeing the cat hair tumbleweeds...ick! Plus, how do u clean that tub w/o breaking yer back?! Pic #2: No complaints there as i spend a lot of time soaking in an outdoor tub (a hot tub that is!).
HAHA. That's fantastic! I don't like the sunken tubs ... not at all. The outdoor one I could definitely get in to but in Florida, think about all the humidity ... no thanks! Have a great weekend!
Hi-hi-hi! You KILL Me!!!!!. Yes, I have to say the first tub left me a little confused too..I mean how would one get to that lovely chair thats on- wait-is that a balcony?!?! Wrong,Wrong,Wrong!
Girl I would KILL myself with a tub situation like that! DANGER DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!! Totally lost in space. Who designed that? hopefull it is deep enough that if you fall in you only get wet and not injured.
Second picture please. No more broken bones for me.
pps, I could get butt nekkid in my yard in a tub that cool no problem. I am shameless. Just think how fine it would be to fill it too full and let it splash on the ground and not make a mess! Yes, I'd love one!!
So true on the first tub....maybe when I was younger I could appreciate it more. I have a tub like the second but not outdoors!! Hmmm, maybe it's time for a metamorphosis!
You are so funny. I would kill myself with the first one in the floor. Or my husband would fall in and then he would kill me. Loved your site. Come join me at the beginning of Sept. For a blog party at my site at www.lilbitoldlilbitnew.com
shit yeah! i'd drown myself for sure! then end up peeing in the water! hahahahaha BTW i LOVE the pictures you have on here, they take me away to a daydreamer's delight.... since i am stuck in the middle of these here united of states [nebraska]. so thank you thank you....
Hi there. I just found your blog thru The Cottage Nest blog. I have to tell you your comment about falling into the tub while trying to pee in the middle of the nite was great and gave me quite a good laugh!! : ) I also LOVE that gorgeous bathtub!! Oh my goodness!! I look forward to following you on your blog.
You crack me UP, Linda. I am such a klutz -- that first tub would be the literal death of me in the middle of the night - heck, in the broad daylight, too. But I have to say that I love the porch tub. I would apt for some curtains, however. I guess I'm a prude. haha. xo Isa
I have an outdoor tub/shower - love it - my kids are all out of the house - and I don't have any neighbors close by. Everyone should have one. That tub in the floor - no thanks - looks like an accident waiting to happen!
I love your blog so much especially since I live in Florida, too. I am north of the Palm Beach County line in Martin County. Your photos are fabulous! JolieAnne

You are too funny! The first pic wouldn't work in my home, I'm far too clumsy to survive that tub.
I think if I fell into that first tub, I wouldn't mind so much...

Cheers!
maybe the toilet doubles as the diving board ;-)
If I lived there, I would have broken my behind at least 5 times already. I'd never get used to the hole in the floor.
PS: Im guessing this tub has some kind of cover so its all flat floor when not in use. I've seen that in Europe but not so much here in the US.
I'd be more worried about how many men might decide that first tub is a better spot than the toilet!

I would definitely kill myself in that first picture! I would love the outside shower/tub. But only if I knew no one could see me:o
I would love to have that beautiful bowl sink!! Gorgeous ~~

My ankle broke simply looking at the first pic.
Then, the 2nd pic popped my balloon. The claw foot tub in my garden is white with bits of rust. Not fabulously painted.
Pouting, now, I am.

Uhhh...yes and yes. Love the idea of both, thank you very much!
Haha! Too funny! I keep thinking the dogs might use it as their dog bowl.
Kinda like the second, providing ther was "property" between you and the neighbors!
I love that first bathroom - that's a super cool tub. And the second one would be cool at some kind of cabin in the woods where there were no other humans for miles. Although, it seems easier to bathe with the risk of onlookers than to use the potty with others watching. Just sayin'.
Hahaha...good post!
Gorgeous, but oh so dangerous. Taking a bath outside? Not this girl!
Ha! Well now, the first one, definitely an accident waiting for me. The second one has my name all over it... I could be discreet in the wee hours, a little candlelight :-)

Yes I would step right in :D
The blue tub would be super as a planter dontcha think? Jane T.
First tub is way cool.
Yikes! I'm sure I could find a way to fall into that tub even with the lights on! It would definitely be a problem in the middle of the night.
The second picture reminds me of the old TV show Petticoat Junction for some reason.
:)
Ha ha! So true, and so funny! I sure do love the way they both look though!

Could possibly handle the outdoor tub, but the first dunk . . . I'd be breaking out the concrete mixer!

YES, I would very easily fall into that tub -- and it wouldn't have to be 4:00AM, I'd be quite capable of managing to fall into it in broad daylight!!
And personally, I'm not really into turning my bath into a spectator sport ;-)

LOL!! That tub can do some serious damage! My entire family would probably fall into that bathtub - frequently! :D Haha... :)
That first one would definitely be a hazard for me, being cumsy like that and all.... but that second is a dream, to heck with family...
Oh...I love the starfish tub!! And the fact that it's outside....Well that would just rock!
I actually knew someone who had a tub, like the one in the top photo!
I loved the Beach Combing post!! Beautiful!
HAHA. That's fantastic! I don't like the sunken tubs ... not at all. The outdoor one I could definitely get in to but in Florida, think about all the humidity ... no thanks! Have a great weekend!

That sunkin tub is an accident waiting to happen. I'm thinking you only bring someone there that you don't like.
hahahahah YES!!! (although i'd love that outisde tub for me!!!)
That is treacherous looking! Oy

ps only the young can fall and not mind! they are still pliable.

That truly is a fabulous outdoor bathroom! Wow, where on earth do you find such fabulous images? Loved it thanks!
I would, I am afraid!
Love the outdoor tub!
Hate the indoor one.
Vessel sinks are so over and out!
xo xo
LOL!!! So funny!!!!
Have a Great Weekend! :)

I could do the outdoorsy tub, it is so very Byron Bay and hedonistic although a little out there.
And yup I would be the girl who would fall in the whole in the floor in the middle of the night. Nice look though!
You crack me UP, Linda. I am such a klutz -- that first tub would be the literal death of me in the middle of the night - heck, in the broad daylight, too.
