Join me on a little excursion…deeper South…Belize
The heart of the once Mayan empire
where turquoise waters lap up to the jungle’s edge...
Where relaxation is fairly effortless
like maybe a big toe in the sand to move the slowing hammock
Heading toward what is reminiscent
of Mayan huts…
Only a small spit of sand separates the cool pool
from the warm Caribbean waters
ahhh
We can each have an individual round cabana
thatched in Palm.
With windows picturesquely crisscrossed with local branches
to prevent neon-colored tropical birds
so bright they look gaudy
from stopping in
Trees…in their entirety…make chairs, railings, lamps.
The walls are colored by rubbing natural dyes into them with cloths
Kanantik reef
This resort is conveniently for sale…and could be yours for the asking.
Well… 8 million clams…
and the asking.

Now, where did I put my checkbook???
Should I pack my bags or count my clams first? It sounds heavenly! Trina
those thatched roofs are amazing...thanks for the exotic armchair trip...
Hee pamela...probably "lost" in the same place mine is!
And, Farmhouse, counting over 8 mill clams might take a tad bit more time then you thought...maybe pour yourself a lemonade and find a comfortable seat...
Now if I only had 8 million clams... I would be so IN!
...Maybe if 8 million of us bought in...and did a timeshare...reasonable then??
Heck ya I'm in! I've got 38 cents in my pocket. I'll just sleep on the hammock. **blows kisses** Deb
Beyond my means, girl! Best I could afford was a week in a rented house (with plenty of amenities and good company)in Placencia. Got a good look at a wonderful little town...the locals were GREAT!!! Took us on tours through the jungle and on a float down a river...serene, baby, serene!!!
We'll be looking forward to your interview on Blog Interviewer, Linda...
In!!!!

You don't have to ask twice! Gorgeous pics!
I'm in, whose picking up the check? :)

I can see myself and hubby there right now. To get to Belize from Barbados I have to go via Miami now isn't that ridculous? I am still going to find out the cost though.
Oh Yeah.. IN LIKE FLYNN!!! Happy Weekend!
don't I wish? How much for a week?
Hey I like your idea of getting together 8 million of us, so we could all have a little bit of this place and I'm just needing a lounge by the water, or that hammock.
You really are a temptress....xv
How beautiful and serene! Makes my place look crappy this morning! ha! Have a great day!

Lovely, but I'm afraid I will have to pass... too many lizards!! :)
You know I am! I went to Belize a million years ago and absolutely loved it. I'd go back in a heartbeat!
Oh yeah! It's calling me. WE need to get on island time. Love it.
We're going in August.
sorry, i just purchased an island somewhere else.. he he... it is so lovely. it reminds me of our holiday last may ... my parents 50th wedding anniversary in mexico... it was fabulous... xx
I made $800 selling junk on Craigslist and a yard sale last month. I was going to put it toward landscaping, but maybe I'll get this place instead. Now if only I could figure out how to get the rest of the $7 million and change...
So beautiful, I really want to be there right now, I need a vacation!!
I am IN...but I think I would rather purchase a resort in Tahiti or maybe Bali...know any for sale??
i am all packed and ready to go, dogs are in the carriers too! vamonos!!!
Oh yes, in, in, in!! Linda you find the best spots!!

Well, I'll come visit you after you buy that place! It looks lovely!
We went to Belize with a group from my husband's company several years ago. We took an outing to a "jungle spa" where we were treated to mud massages. The only problem was the lady massaged every inch of my body in a largely open air hut (where I could hear people passing by), then she handed me a tiny towel (think hand towel size) to "cover up" so she could walk me through the jungle to a room where she washed off the mud. I was mortified that we were going to pass someone from my husband's company on the way (and we may have - I stared at the ground the whole time). It was definitely not relaxing! The rest of our stay in Belize was lovely, however!
Oh Eloise....I am cringing for you!
yep...let me just run down to the corner drug store to buy my lottery ticket please.
I am not only in - I will carry ALL bags if necessary - I just need a little glimpse of this exotic haven!
Happy weekend dear!
Mon
