Paint question…

Ok… so a heat index well over 100 degrees

makes ya wanna start painting the Livingroom

…in the air conditioning.

What’s the rule of layering textures and colors again?

I’m going to use a “non” color

Marscapone by Benjamin Moore

but
a Bright Tone?

My Personal Tip:
when it comes to selecting colors
i always pick one
that sound delish
enough to eat...

butterscotch
vanilla creme
cocoa

that kind of thing....

Ugh! Have fun painting;) I haven't done any of that in a while. Can't wait to see the end result. I'm sure it will be fabulous:)

Now listen, if it's 100 degrees you have to crack a window. Be careful of fumes..Don't get over worked in that heat.. Good Luck.

I haven't tried that color...If you look at PB/Ben Moore paint chips, look at "Sandy Beaches" if you get a chance! I love the color (and the name)and plan to paint very soon in A/C too:) Love your blog!

Julie...it is a chair I got from a friend in the biz (I think it came from Miami) I wanted a slew of them for our table...but only ended up with one lonesome one! I made a slip with that Tommy Bahama pineapple fabric.

Some Pink...I HAVE been thinking about incorporating some pink...great minds, eh?And I am like you in that i am SO swayed by the paint color!!

Yvonne...Do not worry it is 111 outside. But inside it is a cool seventy something (thus choosing to paint!...plus I got the low voc...so less fume/smell!)

Roses...sandy beaches...I will look for that. It would work well with our sandy floors ;(

I love Benjamin Moore paint. My paint is 'mushroom cap'. The quality of their paint is excellent. My painter, who does not usually use BM, told me that he had never used a better quality red when he painted my dining room 'currant red'. I'm sure it will be nice to get a fresh coat, whatever color you chose!

Looked in my BM color wheel, but can't find it- bummer! But it "sounds" lovely!! Love that chair!

I am so impressed that 100 degree heat makes you want to paint! It does nothing but make me want to stay inside - LOL. I love all of your patterns and colors. Hope you're going to share pictures of the room after you finish.

By the way, it is always such a treat to visit your blog and escape into your beautiful pictures! You have such a great eye for color and detail.

P. S. Rachel summoned me to the office...she and Marie have work for me...I'll see if I can get any tip-offs about when your photo sessions will get published...

It sounds like the perfect color. Everything will pop with that in the background.

Too funny...I am already making the "indoor" list for the really hot/humid days too!

I know the name and think I recall it's a really good creamy color?

Of course, I love that black & white chair!

i will add use the light shades as your base, think about subtle (or not so subtle) sponging, and benjamin moore all the way.

i LOVE your blog, linda. everytime i come here i leave happy

and inspired.
