Gentle winds…red striped sails.

I am dreaming of floating…

following the course and rhythm of a river. No schedule. Slowly navigating my way.

And that, my friends, is how I came upon this unique and beautiful Boat hotel.

come on, how does one resist those red and white striped sails?

Nor the opportunity to let the gentle winds propel you

as you explore the alluring river of myth and legend.

The Nile River

aboard the boats of Nourelnil

nile5

…To the west of the Nile you see the desert fringing the river…to the East groves of palms and bananas swath the landscape in green

All while relaxing aboard a beautifully appointed

floating boutique hotel.

nile4

The library aboard the Assouan…

can you imagine?

nile3

The bedrooms…each with a private bath…each with large windows .

waking to the slapping waves

and gentle breezes of the river…

…did I mention the bathrooms? No ordinary head .

This is sublime!

Oh...this is why I love your blog. Because I'm so darn busy I can't take a vacation, and by reading your blog, I feel like I have...:) I could stay in that shower all day. And the boating aspect...we're avid boaters. Wish we had more time for it.

Do you have to exit the boat or can you opt to stay forever????

Yowza. I love this.
I wonder if this boat was what Agatha Christie had in mind when she wrote Death On The Nile?? I can see Hercule Poirot sailing on this.

A friend of mine went on a cruise in this same area, but I don't think it was anything like this one! Absolutely stunning!

Now this is my kind of boat! I've done the "Sailing Boat" thing where you have a bed down below - no windows. I much prefer to sleep in a bed with a view!

This is so much better than a regular yacht or cruise ship. Unbelievable really..., and on the Nile, how exotic.
