An artist's color infused mid-century studio/home tour

An original hooked on Houses Open House tour... stop by Hooked on Houses to see more delicious tours....don't even need to spend gas money! Deal of the day!

come on in...this is not your ordinary home...

She is an artist.
While we breathe oxygen,
she inhales color.
my pictures do not do her place justice
She lives in the bright house surrounded by golden bamboo.

And flora and fauna of only the brightest colors...she picks sunwarmed mangoes from her tree out front

Her doors are Azure blue...
Art and Heart and soul are everywhere.
I imagine they all dance together while she sleeps...

Her simple counters fell into place, perfectly... she watches Orchids and bamboo grow as she washes the dishes.

Tropical leaves splash her walls...
Her cabinets are a soft blue and green stripe,
with a blackboard above...to celebrate life.

She lives in a mid-century house infused with color...
Hollywood faces adorn her wall, while bronze fish make their way through mangroves...
Defined by color...
she displays little pieces of her life, like a mosaic...

Sailboats make their way....
It is a relaxed home. Full of family and living.

and art always finds it's own way upon her walls...

...She is a mother
An artist...

And a friend...

experience her color enriched world here:

Ginny Piech Street, collage and sculpture artist

What an amazing house tour, Linda! I love it. It's so original and unusual.

I was really struck by the blackboard paint on the kitchen soffits--never seen anything like that before. The colors are so fun, and I like the Hollywood pictures on the wall.

Thank you so much for participating in the blog party and showing us this! -Julia :-)

That is a really beautiful home, it so fun and inviting...I love that fireplace, too, and the kitty on the table, lol, a no-no in my house, but it looks cute there!

I need to go back and check out the kitchen soffits, I missed that.

I will have a tour tomorrow on my blog, please come by and see it...and, lol, yes, why not have the beans for breakfast? I am known to eat dinner leftovers for breakfast, I am really weird that way ;)

Have a great day!

Linda - thanks for stopping by - don't know if we've commented to tell you we've been by before - but we LOVE your blog!!
Ginny's house is electric! How fun to live there - the kitchen is fantastic! We love all of the colors....we're color girls you know! So very interesting - and we checked out her website....you can see that her house inspires her artwork - or her artwork inspires her house! We love "A Bird in Hand" - THAT is a cool sculpture!
Thanks for sharing her home!

This house is amazing! I keep going back to this tour to check out the house. Really, I am mesmerized. What a talented decorator/artist the homeowner is, and Linda is a fantastic blogger. You two should collaborate on a fun, funky book of interiors and art!
