HI Linda-Love your "eye" for color and the kitchen towel! I happened to stumble upon a BHG Kitchen and Bath makeover from Sept. 2011, where you featured an antique table for use in your bathroom. The article never mentions how you sealed the wood (or did you?) I have had a piece of furniture I have saved for awhile and am hoping to do a similar remodel in our bathroom. Any helpful hints would be appreciated! Thanks! Cheryl cpalen@cox.net
Hi Cheryl....I use Briwax to seal the wood. Wax it probably 2-3 times a year. Has stood up well. You may try a marine varnish if you want a fool proof seal. I wanted some aging patina....but have it impervious to the water. Good luck to you!

That rug is amazing!!!
I have always loved your home, and it's fun to see a "summary" of it. Great images!
It's a true home, nothing can replace it.

WOW - what perfect timing that I found this! I needed an inspiration today - thank you so much for sharing your home and your heart and your life.
May I ask where you got the SWEDISH Style fireplace and what brand it is? I have been researching these for some time. I love your blog! Lynn
