The Guest Cottage

If you walk down a winding path in our backyard

Hidden, behind the tropical plants (read:jungle) is a
guest cottage. A rather large one,as far as they go

It is the reason we bought our house.
It has two bedrooms which look into a small courtyard with a fountain,
a bath...and...

It was perfect. Sort of. It was very dark, actually black. Wish we had before
pix, but it was too dark inside to even take pictures.

We knew it would be perfect for my Mom.

But we wanted her to love it....

so we painted all the black walls and beams atrium white.

We pulled up the calico cat looking shag carpeting and put in pergo, throughout the whole house.

We added a small kitchen, with a big counter.
All in three weeks. A tough three weeks....
But soooo worth it.
She calls it her "wee house".
and she does love it.
