Weekend project on hold, as I plan this...;)

Ok...so we have this barn in the back of our property. Not your classic red barn, but it did hold a couple of horses in it's day. It has some adorable "Mr. Ed" doors, and we screened the "porch"...where the horses were tacked up. For the past five years, I have been trying to talk the Husband into turning it into a studio/guest space. He would prefer it to be his own office.Hrrrmph.

It has two small additional rooms (tack rooms) and plumbing. I would love to add a skylight...or two and paint the inside white, add a wood floor and maybe a small bathroom.
When it's done, it'll look just like this:

Yep. (stop laughing!) I am very serious! My barn has the same ceiling, and I could add french doors to the 1 tack room...like the picture above.

Now, my barn is NOT this tall....but I love that additional window framing the tropical view!

I guess I should just go back to grouting...yep.

Linda, I enjoyed my visit and will return! I'm definitely adding you to my list.

I've seen what you can do and have done. You can do this barn project. It will be spectacular!

I love your tropical style, Linda! It integrates inside and outside into "home." Your banner photo is so pretty! Since I live near the beach, we always have a breeze and it's one of the things I love about my home. I had to do some work for my job today, so I sat at the dining table with windows open from the front to the back and enjoyed the breeze blowing through, tinkling my capiz shell chandelier. I'll be visiting you again!

Oh, you can't even imagine how I envy you. I've been trying to talk my hubby into buying land with a barn so that I redo a barn. You lucky girl! I love your plans and tell your hubs that he isn't allowed to have that space. Because I said so.

Pat and Lori...Thanks for the push!

Jen...Because she said so. Hmm. Didn't work. Naw, I always get my way anyways, just let him think....

I'm inspired by the outside of what you've already got :-) Am wondering if we could add a porch to our garden shed & do a mini version of what you have... & what you propose.

Always something to inspire me here :-)
