Coconut Grove….I just LOVE the name…

I fell in love with this house

In my neck of the woods

kinda sorta…more sorta not so close...whatev

Coconut Grove FL

saw it recently on If the lampshade fits

wsj_miami4

A veritable jungle of seclusion…

patterned after living spaces in Bali

wsj8

The architect, Max Strang tore down the original house...

and filled the footprint of it up with water

Cool pool? Cool pool.

wsj_miami3

Taking advantage of year round outdoor living,

the whole top floor of the house is just that…

Treetop relaxation.

wsj5

The tropical modern indoor has cement floors

and clean lines

wsj6

wsj3 I love how the black windows and doors

frame the lush green beyond.

Natures art.

Bali high…

yes’m.

sink into it here

Oh I could live there. Or in their pool. I love the sound of the name cococut grove. Anything "grove" for that matter.

Its grey and 52 here in merry old England. I'll happily take Bali, or Florida for that matter! Thanks for sharing the sun and tropical greens:)

Wow, this house is 18 kinds of COOL. I would live there in a nano-second...if I could. :)
But, I'm born to simpler houses...alas.

I have a friend who lives in a little town in Far North Queensland called Coconut. It conjures up the giggles every time we talk about it. I think Coconut Grove has a much more flair. This house is deeevine!
