Yikes. Sorry to hear about your computer! The only thing worse than having your old computer croak is trying to get the new computer set up just the way you want it!

oh no...this happened to my husband's computer on the way to the beach this weekend! The kids were watching a movie and "shared" a drink of water with the computer. Luckily it dried out just fine...this time! Janell

oh no!!! you poor thing! I am so paranoid of water hitting the computer that I move my glass of water out of the computer's way in case an earthquake hits while I am not at my desk!

at least you are getting a new unexpected treat!

Oh Linda, my 7 year old computer is on its way. I've actually wanted to take a hammer to it. A new one is coming this week and I'm sick. If you only knew how phobic I am about anything to do with the computer. Hope I'll read you again someday.

Bummer....I lost my desktop a month or so ago, motherboard crashed (again) and there went all my files of pictures. Luckily I have a laptop.

Ha...loved hearing of "similar" stories...But GUESS WHAT? The little bugger dried out. Tincture of time I spose. Well the hard drive was toast, but the computer is working...and the hubs saved all my docs and most photos. YAY!!! Other new shiny laptop being returned.

So have no fear...go ahead...use your laptops in the tub...

Hilarious!!!! SOO SORRY!!! I have to tell you though I am on my second mac book in litte under a year already!!! I seem to have this problem with spilling water on electronics like ALL the time. Last week it was my Mac book... the month before it was my cell phone... a few months before that it was my sony cyber shot... what a rip!!! bah!! Do I learn? Never. :P

Great to hear it dried out enough to resurrect! I dropped a brand new camera in the ocean once - on the last day of our romantic anniversary getaway so all treasured images went 'swimming.' BUT although the camera died, the images survived!

Just found the same thing out myself! I let mine dry out and it "mostly" works! I will baby it along until it just dies:) :)
