Ok…maybe hers isn’t under a cigarette smoking Buenaventura…

and hers probably wasn’t made by a sweet older friend who passed away several years ago

and could hug you like nobodies Grandma. miss ya Eleanor!

But let me revel in my teensy kinda not but sort of ish

Martha moment.

Carry on.

There you go. Beautiful! Even more so because someone you know made it and you think of her everytime you pull it out, I'll bet.

It's all about Jesus. Martha doesn't weigh in on any of it. :)

Someone made those for you - how wonderful! I look forward to the "Tree lined Streets" you have offered to show me. We really feel like Vero Beach is a very special place. Can't wait to get back there. For now, I'm headed up to Chicago for the holidays. Brrrrrrr!
Have a beautiful Christmas with your beautiful family!
Cheers!

Yes...this beautiful Nativity was made for me way before I was even married and had a house...I had roomates raucous ones, and yet had this wonderful 15 piece nativity made by an older colleague Eleanor. Who I adored...she would hug and hug and hug us....Big and full of love. Every year i put them out (maybe 25 years or so...) I think of her and still remember the feel of those hugs. My goal. To hug like she. With every cell of her being.Lucky to have known her. Hugs back El!!

I hear Martha on NPR the other day and she told the story of how she made her nativity figurines at the pottery studio IN JAIL!!!! She said she had to go back into an old storage room to find the whole set of casts- and while she collects nativity sets, this one is her favorite.
