Ok….this is what I am thinking of…

Actually, I think of a lot of things…but when my brain stops *thinking*….I see these.

I don’t know why….but I am craving a HUGE old, weathered dough bowl lately.

dough

Pottery barn has a fun video of creating a lovely display of veggies and herbs in one…looky here.

Fill ‘em according to the season. Yep.

Ooooh…And love old terra cotta today…

pot

and tropical fruit…

go figure.

Oh I'm with you on craving the dough bowl. There's a little shop in one of our neighboring towns with two big dough bowls ~ filled to the brim with potpourri (spelling?) and little wooden scoops. Soooo cute!

i have always loved these primitive bowls!!!

you can put so many different things in them.
i used them at a clients house
- a great big long one-
and put terracotta pots {all sizes}
of potted orchids.

totally fabulous.

Love dough bowls. My brother took the vintage bowl from our parents house (when I lived out of state!).Now I am looking for one...or I might have sweet hubby make one for me. (He made a small "pig" bowl for a Christmas gift. So adorable!)
Black bean and sweet potato stew and fresh mango slaw? Sounds wonderful! Recipes please!!!

They are lovely. Love the shape. I have a large old wooden bowl from Pakistan and often fill it seasonally. I messed up the bottom a little from unseen fruit underneath getting over ripe. oops.

Oh, and as usual I was craving chocolate but it all worked out. ;)

I'm so with you--I've been craving them for months to use a fruit bowl. We always have a ton of fruit and our current bowl is too deep so the stuff on the bottom usually gets squished.
A big shallow awesome dough bowl would be perfect!

Hi there!
Thank you for your sweet comment about my new kitchen out back. I am enjoying reading your blog! I must have missed it but where are you located? Seems tropical and I LOVE tropical. Actually headed to San Jose del Cabo in a couple of weeks. Cannot wait to get away from these clouds and rain.
Have a great day!
