Small changes…

I’ve always thought that when you have a fairly large garden

it is easiest to work on one

“room” at a time...

The reality to me is that the WHOLE picture can be overwhelming.

So we worked on a room…

A den…maybe the coat closet.

IMG_2770 My almost 83 year old Mom…bless her buttons…all 82 and a half of them.'

pulled ginger…pink shell ginger that was 5 feet tall,

until there was nothing left.

It was raggedy and needed to go to greener pastures…

SO

we added and added and added a bit more. Then more.

I give you the….

Coat closet

Ah ha, don't tell anyone....but I nicked one of those bird of paradise flowers from an easement on the way back from my run last night...a stunning yellow one. Isn't the blue bit in the middle amazing!

And a mighty fine "coat closet" it is! Beautiful!!! I have a "long hallway" in my backyard that needs some attention! :)

Have a Great Weekend!

So lush and gorgeous! Thinking of a garden in terms of rooms is a great idea. You have an amazing closet!....and bless your mama.

So nice to have your mom sharing gardening joys with you. Treasure those moments. I wish my strelitzia would bloom - they take so long to settle in and feel at home....

how sweet that your mom helps in the garden. I had to leave all my plants behind when we left Cali for Texas. Still not sure where home is so for now the only living creatures I take care of are the wafers!

Hi Linda, I want a tropical garden like that! Even though I haven't been able to make it back to VB yet - we continue to look constantly at the MLS listings in the area. Always looking for the worst house in the best location!
Cheers!
Ry
