Re-doing daughters room…In the making.

This is one of those promises from last Christmas…

A room re-do.

She found the note…under her bed while she was cleaning last week. Dayum.

I’m being held to the promise.

Started this weekend.

Do you guys notice that when you look up a rug or something on Overstock.com it seems to follow you all over the internet...little ads reminding you what you looked at...

like those creepy eyes that follow you in a painting?

Will do something with the dresser…

a la Polohouse blog

There are even folks that will turn your ribbons into Quilts and bags and picture frames!

Eeegads. Who knew?

I dunno.

The favorite thing I have heard is donating them to Special Equestrians or another Equine

Therapy program.

Where they re-use/ re-gift them.

LOVE this.

Sold.

**I will post some finished pics of the room…when it is done.

Don’t be holding your breath or anything…

Love. Donating them seems so perfect, and what a sweet and generous thing to do.
Looking forward to the reveal, but I promise not to hold my breath since I know a thing or two about how lonnnnng it takes to get things done;)
Big hug to your daughter for donating her ribbons.

What a great idea! My daughter's ribbons are just stuffed in a box - donating them makes so much more sense.

I love what has been done with the room so far, and I can't wait to see the end result...just don't make us wait too too long for the finale.
Donating the ribbons seems like a great idea. Your daughter may want to hang on to the special ones for keepsakes.

Aw that last picture had me teary eyed. And the horse made out of ribbons is genius. I say make those horses and donate them that would be the best of both worlds!
Looking forward to seeing the room in all it`s glory!

The room is looking good. I love the ribbons en mass on the mirror, or in a stunning frame. Donating them is a good idea as well, if your daughter is willing to part with them.

Oh lovely! Regarding the ribbons, I saw on the Antiques Roadshow an old men's jacket that the wife had made completely out of the ribbons that used to come on cigar boxes and it was awesome!! **happy smiles** Deb

I can't think of a better way for your talented daughter to handle the overflow of ribbons!!

we have a little stash collecting dust...I am going to look into this.

Gorgeous room. Lucky girl! And what a dilemma to do with all the ribbons. I still have every single ribbon I ever won (with the horse's name, date, judge and the big-name people I beat [!!] written on the back). ;) They are all in boxes somewhere at my mom's house. I've never known what to do with them and didn't have the heart to throw them away. I love the idea of donating them. If only I could get my mom to agree to let them go...

My friend used to hang them around the top of her wall - like crown molding - they looked really good!
