The beauty you share is often just what I need on a dreary day, or else it fits perfectly into a day that is already bursting with celebration. Either way, I am glad for you and your soul-nourishing posts. Thank you. I love these pictures. Also, I took your advice and put up a new post. It's not a list, but it explains my temporary absence. Appreciate your comment. You were right. Now, I have to go back to savoring these gorgeous pictures and playing with which ideas I will incorporate into my imaginary house someday.

Ahhh...the inside is quite amazing! The carved woodwork and doors and cuban tile is out of this world! And it was built as a winter home...they "wintered" in Florida 6 weeks out of the year here.

UmmmHmmm.

I do. The underside of the balcony is so heavenly. A little visual surprise to catch your eye...

Love it! Some of my favorite decorating styles are Mediterranean and Latin. The colors, architecture, designs on the tiles, I love the arches and round shapes they tend to use. So beautiful, thanks for posting!!

Most fav posts: your place.

Second "most fav" posts: your Florida field trip ones.

Do you think I could just set up in a small corner of ye olde mansion without anyone being the wiser?

That's so fun! I would totally do that if I was in a warm climate! You have to bring the Christmas Spirit wherever you are!

As a wee roo growin' up in Miami the trip to Bok tower was always fun...except probably not so much for my grandparent who had to listen to me do my rendition of Ring Christmas Bells and I heard the Bells on Christmas day substituting "BOK" for every word. (bok-bok-bok-bok...well you get the idea)

I also did this when we went to visit vizcaya, only that went to the tune of l'chaim, from fiddler on the roof "two rights two rights vizcaya vizcaya vizcaya two rights...

eventually my family began taking me to symphonies only.

Thank you for this post. We visited during the Christmas holidays while down in Florida from Ohio. Magnificent to say the least along with Bok tower.
