Sometimes…ya don’t need much.

On a beach walk yesterday morning I saw some wood pallets for the taking

I thought...Hmmm of a coffee table

frame for a canvas…

But then came across this idea from Katrin Arens

Now THAT just never occurred to me.

And, no...I didn't bring them home...kept on walking.

I am jealous..a "beach walk"!! "DAYUM"... I think you need to go back, pick up at least one of those palettes, and create something...then.... share!!!!

Happy Saturday Linda!! :)

2 gifts you give.

"DAYUM"

New use for a palette.

About to leave for the stones of Stone Mountain under my feet. How I would love a beach walk too.

I find old broken pottery along some of the woodland trails in Stone Mountain. Once, a piece of flow blue. Still, not the beach!

That is a great idea! How clever!
There is a company that makes gorgeous bed linen that photographs the bedding on a bed that is just pallets stacked up with a European mattress on top. It looks great!Enjoyed your post!

Some people are just so creative that way..., with re-purposing things. Wood pallets for plates, definitely far-fetched. It looks really cool in that setting!

I have dragged in more pallets from the street to make into something out of nothing, more times than I care to count!
Love the plate rack idea.

Well, what are you doing sittin' there??! RUN back and get them you silly girl!
I love the square head nails (at least that's what I think they are?!) as plate holders!
You find the best photos....
happy weekend!

It's just another one of those things where I think, "I never would have come up with that!" Brilliant.

I came across her work a while back and love it. I couldn't wait to get to the bottom of the first pallet of tile we had to see if I could do something fun with it, but it didn't have nearly the character and charm as the ones she used!

I just love that decorating style. Mine is nothing like it, but I love it. I need a dozen different houses to decorate. Then I wonder, which one would be 'home'.?

Uh-oh! This came at the wrong (right!) time. Hubby is in the process of trying to throw away a wood pallet he rescued from off our seawall. On the other hand, he entrusted me with a derelict crabrap when I saw it had "potential" for repurposing. You can see what I did with it at: http://pachamamahouse.blogspot.com/2009/11/diysalvage-to-art.html

How great! I love all of her pottery and home is just lovely. I understand your reticence to pick up the giant pallets...many a time I have left treasures where they lie because I did not want splinters!

I am impressed that you even thought of what to do with the crates..I probably would have just walked on by. So many bloggy peeps amaze me, and you are one!
