Dude in the kitchen...

We have a pocket door off the kitchen that we painted with
chalkboard paint....thinking it would be a
command central of sorts. One of the kids friends
drew this old dude...and there he still stands.
So...we ended up painting a wall in the kitchen.
...ya gotta love chalkboard paint!

Ha! Ok...now I have to tell you the story behind...

So my oldest son works at an office supply store, He is often bowled over by the people that can be downright rude and entitled and want things immedaitly (his words...me thinks he needs even MORE cust. svc. experience...oh how it can teach us!).

So his friends were over as he was telling his tales of woe...and one of them secretly went to the kitchen and started drawing away. My son woke up in the am to "cranky dude". Usually he is just closed away...but he is fun to pull out at parties!!

This is what I have been wanting to do to my laundry room door, painting with black board paint.

You so inspire me.

Gotta love the old dude! It's so cute, the kid who drew it must be so cool. The old dude in your kitchen is a conversation piece already.

Yes Old cranky dude will be staying for awhile...I just can't bring myself to erase him.

Blackboard paint can be a very scary thing...I'm always looking at places and walls and doors with a "hmmm...I wonder if...".
