Re-cap…schmeee-cap. Or…why do I feel like a slug compared to so many…

So…I literally had to look through the months to see what I actually

DID

accomplish this year of twenty-ten.

Not as much as some years…maybe more than other years.

I’m a Libra. And middle child. Surprising, eh?

Started out with a little Laundry re-do

tiled, painted built cabinets, new floor, new lighting…

laundry

laundry1

laundry2

That was fun…onto

Big butt…The chair with multiple personalities…

chairbb

chairbb1 IMG_5307

Then…the demure little butt chair…who didn’t put up nearly the fight!

lbchair

Then, somewhere…painting and re-decorating the Livingroom…windows, walls, art…

LRdlrd1

Then…I lost track… We had a son in the hospital…And, somehow I ended up with three jobs…

…and had a hard time keeping it all together.

But did continue gardening.

well…keeping plants alive.

Sorta

Gardening

This year….who knows?

I’m a live by the seat of my pant’s kinda girl…

But....What ‘bout you guys??

Spill.

Hi Linda,
O, but it's been a rough end to 2010 for you, my dear. No need to beat yourself up! My accomplishments have been just about nil and I'm beginning to enjoy my life doing nothing...never thought I would. It all started with losing my job this summer...having a little surgery and discovering a lot less energy left in my body afterwards...just recouping these days and my biggest hope is to keep up with my three little houses, blogging and family affairs. We'll see about 2011...perhaps an improvement in energy will come if I practice healthy habits :)

Seems to me like you accomplished quite a bit. It's hard not to compare ourselves to others (like Martha Stewart), but that's where we get into trouble. Go easy on yourself!
Hope your new year is happy and healthy for all.

You could join the circus with all that you juggled this year. I think you did a lot my friend. Compared to moi, who slept from May till November. LOL... Enjoy and many hugs... xo

You have made my year of 2010 seem pretty boring. I am not nearly as creative as you but I have had a pretty good year decorating my home with a lot of inspiration from YOU! I really would have never guessed you were a middle child. You seem so 'normal', just like me (I am a first born, hehehe).

Honestly, your sense of humor and compassion has been an inspiration to me, especially through your rough period with your son in the hospital. I wish you all the luck and love in the world, this next year and forever.

Life is a crazy winding road, isn't it?
Sometimes all we can do is close our eyes, hold on, and pray for the next day! You can be proud of what you accomplished this year. Anyone who is on this ride and doesn't give up should be proud.
You should be proud of how all of your gorgeous projects turned out!
It's an honor being on this ride with you. Thank you for your constant support. I hope you know that you have mine as well.
May 2011 be a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous one for you Linda!

You were busy. I completely forgot about the laundry redo. Love that room. I'm always doing something. Do I really need to list them?;) Makes me tired just thinking about it!

That having a child in the hospital thing rather sucks the energy out of you and overshadows the rest of the year, in my opinion! I think you accomplished a lot this year, and your blog is always amazing and inspiring.

The Happiest of New Years to you and your family! Look forward to seeing more of you in 2011.

PS My marinated black-eyed peas were only made a day in advance this year. They'll be great no matter! xoxo

Take care:)

Um, I can't remember. Oh... Italian. I took Italian 101. What else ... I went to Italy and taught summer workshops (art) and finally booked a commercial in December -the day before my birthday. Oh, I worked a little on my pastels and mixed media art but that was soooo rare. So ... my resolution is to work more and create more ... and speak more Italian.

Thanks, now I know what I did!

Happy New Year Linda!!!!
Blessings and light to you and your family!

Linda,
I love this post, it inspired me to want to create a similar post. I simply love your home, it captures a lot of the decorating style I enjoy. I often say my style is bohemian meets and falls in love with vintage-1960's but they get into a car accident with Mexican/Latin style. I think you capture it very well!!

I've been lurking for a while but I'm trying to comment on all of the blogs that I previously haven't as part of my new year's resolutions. I've loved the projects that I've seen and can't wait to go back and check out some of your older posts. I noticed the boots in the launudry room, do you ride?

**sigh** Your home is so, so . . . homey in the most lovely way. Me thinks you accomplished quite a bit last year! I look back on the past 8 months after quitting my life-sucking job and wonder the same a bit...however, I am perfectly content in my new position of life, being more present in the moment rather than a furious flurry of accomplishment. Things seem to take me longer now to accomplish, but only because I am soaking in every movement. Slowing down...it's a GOOD thing. **blows kisses** Deb
